“An extended family member began sexually abusing Crocombe when she was 4 until her teens. Having been conditioned to believe that his behavior was normal, and rewarded with gifts and attention in return, “I would have done anything for him,” Crocombe said of the abuser. “I don’t remember feeling ashamed at first.””
This is a case of growing up in a society that denounces such relationships. This is not Stockholm Syndrome as she suggests, which requires force in the beginning. This is literally someone who enjoyed an interaction and loved the person she was with who grew up and was bombarded with lies that it was abuse and that he didn’t love her. It’s disgusting that any so called “expert” would say she was hurt or abused. She merely changed her mind on what happened later in life based on illogical reactions.
Grooming is one of the most deceptive terms developed in recent years. Experts realized kids liked being sexual and such relationships, so they had to find a way to make sure people still could call it abuse, thus grooming was born.
Having been conditioned to believe that his behavior was normal, and rewarded with gifts and attention in return, “I would have done anything for him,” Crocombe said of the abuser. “I don’t remember feeling ashamed at first.”
So when is this behaviour not normal in romance? Or does it just turn to romance when they reach that magical age! Maybe an excuse to justify raising the age of consent to their 18th birthday
just to be on the safe side!
